8 ton electric locomotive consists of safe type and explosion-proof special type. 8 ton 110v and 8 ton 132v locomotive are of mono-cascade transmission structure, it is of first generation product, whose feature is low gravity, stable operation. Along with the renewal of the product, on the current 8 ton locomotive is adopted the advanced chopper speed regulation technology, stepped speed regulation by means of batteries in series and parallel and conic and spur two stage transmission, it has such advantages as high capacity in the batteries, strong tractive effort, thick frame, strong strength and resistance impact.

8 ton 144v electric locomotive with stepped speed regulation is designed and completed on the basis of 8ton 140v stepless speed regulation locomotive, it has 10 stages, with a low car body and good backview. Due to the adoption of rubber buffer, it has a good performance on buffering, muffling and a strong capability through the turning radius. It has a good design on structure, reliable performance and reliable operation.
